Dr. Debra Barnett, OD

Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Barnett is a lifelong resident of Kenosha. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1987 and Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1991. Dr. Deb opened Barnett-Wamboldt Eyecare in 2005 in order to provide her patients with a more personal level of eyecare services. She welcomes patients of all ages from infants to seniors and has a special interest in children’s vision.

Dr. Deb has been a member of both the American Optometric Association and Wisconsin Optometric Association since 1987. She served as President for the WOA Southeastern Optometric society from 2005 until 2013. She is currently serving on the WOA Board of Directors.

Dr. Barnett participates in charitable optometric programs including Vision USA (www.woa-eyes.org/vision-usa-public ), and InfantSEE ( www.infantsee.org ).

Dr. Deb is also active in the community as a member of the Kenosha Noon Lions Club. Dr. Barnett is married to Jeff Wamboldt, a Kenosha police officer, and has two children. In her free time, Deb enjoys spending time attending any activity her children are involved in. The Wamboldt family are active members of Lord of Life Lutheran church.

Renate

Office Manager

Renate has enjoyed working for Dr. Barnett for 4+ years and brings over 30 years of industry experience with her to the job. Renate’s favorite part of working at Barnett Wamboldt Eyecare is working with patients in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. She enjoys guiding and helping people see new possibilities when picking out frames, helping with repairs and fixing issues. In the past, Renate worked in a lab and enjoyed troubleshooting problematic vision issues or special conditions like birth defects or accidents.

In her off-time, Renate enjoys spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Renate enjoys cooking old-school big meals, she is a surviving breast cancer patient, a history buff and as a born and raised “Army Brat”, she enjoys supporting activities around patriotism and the US Military.
